Former French international centre-back Lillian Thuram has praised Barcelona for their attractive style of play.
Barca sit top of La Liga on seven wins and one draw, with Tito Vilanova following in the footsteps of previous coach Pep Guardiola by retaining the same footballing blueprint and playing philosophy.
Retired centre-half Thuram is highly impressed with the club's attitude and has likened the displays Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi produce to artwork.
"The Barca game appeals to everyone because when you look at it, it is art," Thuramtold Sport.es.
"For me, football is an art, like those artists who do contemporary shows. In addition to this, the club gives a good image of football and that's important."
Despite his admiration, Thuram said Barcelona would have to keep working to be considered the best team in the world.
"For many, the best is the one that earns it the most, but I like the club because when you watch a game, you think it's really football, it's a game," he said.
